Allah-Las’ Miles Michaud Converses About Vintage Instruments, Podcast Making, & Going Back in Time

Who He Is:

Vocalist & Guitarist of Allah-Las

Who They Are:

Band with “A sound cultivated from the annals of California culture; the perfect mixture of the sands, the seas, the streets and cities of the golden state”.

On Favorite Vintage Instruments/Equipment:

“I think it’s important to discuss that its not just the fact that something’s vintage that I like about it. It has a lot to do with the sound and the tone. And the way things were manufactured back then. They’re just not done anymore. And it’s a unique and individual method that went into everything. You buy an old amp from the 70s, 60s or whatever and even if it’s the same year or same factory, they’re all going to sound a little bit different. So you’re trying to have this uniqueness to them that you kind of learn to work with and kind of master the attributes of, I guess. And i think that’s what’s most appealing thing about older stuff…”
